Spring is just around the corner, and we are ready to play with a little more colour in our makeup routines. This year, it’s all about enhancing our natural beauty, makeup all-rounders, and effortless looks.
Start off with a well-prepped face. A clean, hydrated skin is essential for a flawless makeup look that won’t crease and last all day. Before applying your makeup, gently nourish your skin with a moisturizer and serum to help achieve a smooth and even complexion.
Set the stage for your spring look with a base that lets your skin breathe. Apply a lightweight serum foundation, working it into your skin in circular motions. Follow with a liquid concealer, dabbing a little product onto the skin to hide under-eye shadows and skin imperfections. Next, build on your look by shaping your eyebrows in place for a more natural finish. Use a waterproof brow stick to draw thin, hair-like strokes and fill in the gaps. Finish with a creamy shaping wax to brush brows upward and fix.
Add blush and highlighter for a healthy, glowing complexion. Using a soft powder blush, sweep a matte rosy shade diagonally upward from the apples of your cheeks to your temples. Then apply a light, shimmering highlighter shade across your cheekbones, brow bone, and cupid’s bow to illuminate your facial features.
Give your eyes floral accents with a sparkling, soft pink shade that beautifully complements your blush. Smooth all over the lid with a fluffy eyeshadow brush to create a balanced, even base.
With the same brush, blend a darker eyeshadow shade into the crease for added dimension and a natural-looking, smooth transition.
Make your eyes pop with a colourful eyeliner. Simply use a matte eyeliner pencil and draw an expressive line from the inner to the outer corner of the eye to elongate the eyes.
Apply a few coats of a lash volumizing mascara in a zigzag motion from root to tip to beautifully frame your eyes.
Round out your spring inspired natural makeup look with glossy lips. Apply a lip gloss with a lip boosting, plumping effect to make the lips look naturally fuller. Before applying, contour and fill in lips with a lip liner for a more intense colour finish.
