Composition of the fragrance:
The scent opens with luminous ylang-ylang, bright pink pepper and creamy vanilla orchid, creating a spiced floral start with immediate warmth. At its heart, smooth vanilla absolute meets soft tonka beans and woody baobab, giving the scent a fuller, more resinous tone. The dry-down lingers in a textured blend of rich vanilla caviar, velvety sandalwood, clean white musk and glowing amber.
The story of the fragrance:
Gritti Vanilla Tana Extrait de Parfum is inspired by Madagascar, where vanilla is presented as part of the island’s unspoiled landscapes and ancient traditions. Luca Gritti explored local growing methods and ancestral techniques, discovering vanilla beans macerated inside hollow baobab trunks, where they absorb woody nuances. That idea gives the fragrance its character: vanilla seen through sacred woods, spices and the atmosphere of a distant island.
