Composition of the fragrance
First, you’ll notice the charming freshness of bergamot which slowly gives way to the heart of the fragrance, boasting clean floral essences of Calabrian jasmine and warm ylang-ylang. Delicious Madagascar vanilla in the drydown then gives a delicate touch to this fragrance full of light and sunshine.
Story of the fragrance
The Shalimar Souffle de Lumière Eau de Parfum is a variation on the legendary Guerlain Shalimar de Parfum, created by Jacques Guerlain who had been inspired by a love story more than 400 years old. It’s a story of a boundless love between the Indian emperor and princess Mumtaz Mahal. Emperor Shah Jahan then built the luxurious Shalimar gardens which became the sanctuary for him and his beloved.
