- with woody base notes enriched with citrus notes
- in a beautiful traditional etched bottle with atomiser
Composition of the fragrance
From the first smell you can sense the top notes of bergamot, cardamom and mandarin. Then the heart notes bloom, with sage, nutmeg and lavender. The entire composition of the fragrance is underscored by a woody base which combines sandalwood with cedarwood.
Story of the fragrance
The Truefitt & Hill 1805 fragrance for men was launched in 1999. However, its origins date back to the 1850s, when William Francis Truefitt created perfumes for high-profile individuals, including the British royal family. The inspiration for this particular fragrance came from a composition originally created for Viscount Palmerston – the Prime Minister under Queen Victoria.
The name of this fragrance, however, refers to 1805, when the Truefitt & Hill barbershop first opened. It also became the oldest barbershop in the world.
