First you’ll notice saffron which is later replaced by notes of orange blossom and Damask rose. A combination of vanilla and white musk develops in the drydown to make sure that you’ll get absolutely addicted to this gorgeous fragrance.
Story of the fragrance
As Kenzo Takada always used to profess “I absolutely love flowers”. This fragrance in particular is dedicated to poppy – as evidenced by the now-iconic bottle which features a red poppy blossom with a long stem. The image looks as if painted with a brush, alluding to the Japanese origin of the brand.
The face of the fragrance is Masami Charlotte Lavault, an activist who founded the first flower farm in Paris. Both Kenzo and Masami Charlotte share a belief in a slow, environmentally friendly way of growing flowers. Masami Charlotte gets her energy from nature just like the poppy flower.
