Broken doll

Want to make your Halloween party unforgettable? Try this adorably spooky look and transform into a vintage doll everyone will notice. All you need is a few products – and Barry M will show you exactly what to do!

Step 1

Start with foundation, because a doll look requires perfectly even, porcelain skin. You can easily achieve it by applying the Fresh Face foundation evenly to your face using a brush, a sponge, or your fingertips.

Step 2

The Fresh Face concealer will cover any small imperfections. Use one that is a shade or two lighter than your foundation and make sure to also apply it under your eyes for a brightening effect.

Step 3

Now’s the time to shape and contour your face. Use a powder or a contouring stick to frame your cheekbones, jawline and temples, and define your nose and chin.

Step 4

Next step is your eyes – a striking feature that obviously defines the iconic doll-like look. It’s all about making them more prominent and big! Start by shading your crease with a light pinkish eyeshadow and stick to the outer corner of your eye.

Step 5

Add a little bit more colour by picking up a darker pink shade and applying it to the lash line in the outer corner for a deeper and more captivating effect.

Step 6

Don’t forget about shimmer! Add some light metallic shimmery eyeshadow to your movable lid to give your eyes a bright, fairy-tale look.

Step 7

It’s time to make your eyes appear a bit bigger. You can do it with a simple trick – use a black eyeliner to create a cat eye on your upper lid, and then a line a few millimetres under your lower lash line. Finally, draw eyelashes from the lower line in quick strokes.

Step 8

Remember those gorgeous dolls with open-and-close eyes? That’s the kind of lash effect we’re trying to mimic! Use lash glue to put on the Faux Mink eyelashes and let them dry.

Step 9

Here comes the pièce de résistance! Use your black eyeliner to draw cracks on your cheeks and forehead, and pay attention to the details. Try to create a line of varying thickness with a smooth stroke.

Step 10

Add more shading to make your look livelier! Use a neutral brown eyeshadow to shade the crack and make it appear more 3D.

Step 11

We’re almost done! Let’s just add a bit more juicy colour to the lips with a bright pink lipstick – you can also use it on the apples of your cheeks.
