Step 1
Apply a warm shade to the crease of your eye and blend upward for a cat’s-eye effect.
Step 2
Apply an orange shade just above it and use a light hand to blend it out towards your eyebrow.
Step 3
Line your lower lash line and the roots of your upper lash line with black eyeliner.
Step 4
Blend out the eyeliner using the same two eyeshadow shades you applied previously.
Step 5
Use mascara to add volume to your eyelashes.
Step 6
Draw a black line from below your cheekbone to your lips using the eyeliner you used to line your eyes. You can first create an outline using a nude eye pencil to help you.
Step 7
Repeat the process on the other side, making sure the line is symmetrical.
Step 8
Draw a vertical line through the centre of your lips and connect the lines starting from under your cheekbones all the way to your lips.
Step 9
Draw a few lines across your lips to act as teeth. Don’t forget about symmetry! Make sure that both the left and right sides and top and bottom parts of the pumpkin’s “smile” are symmetrical. No line should stick out too much or be too long or short.
Step 10
Blend the black line on your lips to create more depth and then define it further using liquid eyeliner for a shadow effect.
Step 11
Contour your cheekbones using black eyeshadow. This step will give your complexion more dimension and a visible 3D effect.
Step 12
Blend a warm and orange shade lightly under your cheekbones, using the orange shade to soften the dark shade. This will create a more authentic pumpkin effect.
Step 13
Create frown lines by applying a small amount of black eyeshadow from the inner edge of your eyebrows up onto your forehead. Avoid making them too harsh and aim for more of a smoky effect.
Step 14
To complete the spicy pumpkin look, apply black eyeshadow (or your darkest lipstick) to your lips and fill in the gaps between the pumpkin’s teeth with an orange eyeshadow shade! You can also use different shades of lip liners and eye pencils to achieve the desired shade if needed. And what about some delicate freckles around your nose? You can draw those on with liquid liner. Is the result more on the cute or spooky side? Whichever one it is, it’s totally worth it!
