Wrinkles are a natural part of ageing, but who says we can't try to reduce them? Face oils are a great help in the fight against fine and deep wrinkles. Which anti-wrinkle face oil should you use to get visible results? We have tested them for you!

Every smile, every frown – they all leave traces on your skin. Wrinkles reflect our life story, but if you would prefer to "iron" them out a little, it's time to check out face oils. These little natural wonders are full of antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids, so they can work miracles on your skin. We have tried those which smooth and protect skin while promoting its regeneration.

Fall in love with these anti-wrinkle face oils

Rosehip oil is the number one favourite. Thanks to the content of vitamin A (retinol) and vitamin C, it promotes cell renewal and reduces fine lines. Argan oil is often called "liquid gold" thanks to its ability to deeply hydrate and regenerate skin. It is rich in vitamin E, and helps smooth skin and keep it supple.

Pomegranate oil is good at fighting against free radicals while promoting collagen production. Almond oil is gentle, nourishing and ideal for mature skin because it soothes and helps reduce fine lines. Jojoba oil is great for regenerating mature skin. Face oils can be used in the evening as well as in the morning. During your morning routine, let it be absorbed properly, and then use a hydrating cream and SPF.

Try the best anti-wrinkle oil

Do not apply face oils to dry skin. Moisturise your skin with a face mist at least, although they work best after a face serum, mixed into a face cream or after it.

Test: The Best Face Oils for Wrinkles

Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil

What I liked the most: In my opinion, Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil is the best anti-wrinkle oil. I would probably bathe in it too if I could. I've used up my second bottle and yes, it's quite an investment, but it's worth it. I get it for Christmas every year and I'm willing to sacrifice all other gifts for it. And definitely do not mix it into your cream. Apply directly to your damp skin or right after using a serum. That way you'll enjoy it to the last drop.

Advantages: This anti-wrinkle oil is ultra-light, and is quickly absorbed without leaving an oily film. You just need a few drops, so it lasts for a long time. It leaves your skin nourished, soothed and radiant. And when I use it regularly, my wrinkles really are smoother.

Disadvantages: The price. But in this case, you're really paying for high quality.

Herbivore Phoenix

What I liked the most: Herbivore Phoenix is exactly the right oil to choose when your skin needs a proper dose of regeneration and hydration. It has a lovely, rich texture, and yet it does not feel heavy on your skin or leave an oily feeling. After just a few weeks of use, my skin was not only nourished, but also smoother and softer. And the orange colour? Awesome! I use it in the evening on my damp skin or after using a serum, and I always feel like my skin gets an extra dose of care.

Advantages: It contains a mixture of natural oils including rosehip, sea buckthorn and chia oils which regenerate skin and promote its elasticity. It is rich in antioxidants which protect skin and make it look youthful.

Disadvantages: The oil is quite thick so I don't recommend using it on oily skin.

StriVectin Multi-Action Super-B Barrier Strengthening Oil

What I liked the most: StriVectin Multi-Action Super-B Barrier Strengthening Oil is a real game changer for skin that needs strengthening and protection. I love its light texture that is quickly absorbed and does not leave an oily feeling, so I can also use it under foundation in the morning. The composition full of prebiotics and niacinamide is also like a wellness package for your skin barrier. You can really feel that your skin is more resilient and healthier. Ideal for sensitive skin.

Advantages: After just a few weeks of using it, I felt like my skin was more radiant and smoother than usual. This is thanks to Douglas' meadowfoam which has antioxidant effects and makes your skin smoother and firmer. You really need just a few drops. I managed with five for my face, neck and cleavage. So no waste.

Disadvantages: I wasn't impressed with the fragrance. But that's always a matter of personal preference.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Oil

What I liked the most: Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Oil keeps skin beautifully supple all day. In addition, it softens it overall and is also great with make-up.

Advantages: It is absorbed very well, it is not greasy and it leaves my skin beautifully soft. The oil contains 3 active ingredients from the sea. In my view, they really work. Immediately after the first use I noticed beautifully nourished and radiant skin. I used the oil in the morning along with a hydrating day cream and SPF, and my skin was nourished all day. I didn't need to reapply it or use a moisturising mist.

Disadvantages: The fragrance is too intensive for me, but obviously not everyone would agree.

Gallinée SKIN CARE Prebiotic Face Oil

What I liked the most: It brightens, pleasantly nourishes and is fragrance-free, so it is also ideal for sensitive skin.

Advantages: Gallinée SKIN CARE Prebiotic Face Oil for wrinkles nourishes very intensively, and soothes skin at the same time. I used it whenever I felt my skin was really dry and flaking on my nose or chin. And in combination with the blue light of the galvanic spatula, my skin was beautifully soothed. The oil is quickly absorbed, and it seems to me that it brightens as well.

Disadvantages: I didn’t find any. For me and my sometimes reactive skin it was a pleasant surprise in this test.

Darphin Tangerine Aromatic Care

What I liked the most: It has a wonderful energizing fragrance, brightens and softens skin and leaves no oily finish.

Advantages: The fragrance is just addictive! In the evening and morning, I combined it with a light lifting massage, and the sensation was just priceless. Darphin Tangerine Aromatic Care is an anti-wrinkle face oil which not only softens skin really well and can minimise fine lines, but also makes skin bright and radiant. My skin was nourished after use in the evening and morning. Like when I was 20!

Disadvantages: The higher price. The packaging only contains 15 ml, so if used twice daily, it lasts for a month at most. But you'll be running for more just like me!
