Balletcore: a feminine and romantic look

The balletcore aesthetic has been making its way into fashion, makeup and lifestyle since 2022. But we’ll be seeing a trend of “off-duty” ballet dancers this year, too. In ballet-inspired makeup, don’t skimp on the blusher. This is also applied in several layers on the cheeks, temples and nose. And you can’t get this look without a generous dose of highlighter and lip gloss or lip oil. And, above all: the pinker, the better. Try out this youthful, monochromatic look that’s just perfect for spring.

How to do balletcore makeup

1. If you want a great staying power for your makeup, first apply NYX Professional Makeup The Marshmellow Primer. Even out your skin tone with the L’Oréal Paris True Match foundation and cover up any skin imperfections or under-eye circles with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.
2. Next up is NARS Blush. Apply it, in several layers if you want, from the apples of the cheeks to the temples and also the nose and the arch of the eyebrows. In this case, less is definitely not more.
3. Apply the NYX Professional Makeup Winx Fairy highlighter to the areas with blusher for even more of a glow.
4. On the eyes, use the NYX Professional Makeup High Definition Studio Photogenic primer, so that eyeshadows don’t budge.
5. Apply a medium-light shade from the NYX Professional Makeup Mystic Petals palette above the crease. Use a pink shadow from the same palette to darken the outer corner of the eye and darken the crease even more. Apply it to your lower lash line as well.

10. For delicately coloured lips, dab on Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color using your finger. If you need to overline your lips, use the NYX Professional Makeup Slim Lip Pencil.
