Composition of the fragrance:
The opening notes unfold with a sparkling blend of irresistible, hypnotic aldehyde and energetic electric orange. Later, a surprising note of metallic geranium enters the scene, its tone softened by sweet honey. The fragrance’s final notes are formed by deep, magnetic accords of ambergris, ethereal musk and alluring patchouli, which lend the entire composition a mysterious depth brimming with emotion.
Story of the fragrance:
The creation of This Is Not a Blue Bottle 1.1 Eau de Parfum was inspired by the thought of pure abstraction – the journey from the abstract to the fieriest emotions and visions. The name of the collection refers directly to the famous Surrealist work by the Belgian painter René Magritte, *The Treachery of Images*, from the 1920s, which depicts a pipe with the inscription ‘This is not a pipe’. The fragrance thus serves as an allegory of a fragrant Big Bang in the infinite realm of blue.
