About the brand Sensai

A Japanese approach to skincare centred on continuous scientific innovation. Sensai embodies a philosophy where sensory beauty rituals and advanced cosmetic research come together.

The brand evolved from Kanebo, a company established in 1887 that originally specialised in silk. During research into silk production, scientists discovered that the hands of silk spinners remained exceptionally smooth, leading to the identification of Koishimaru Silk as a valuable skincare ingredient for supporting the production of hyaluronic acid. This discovery became the cornerstone of Sensai’s identity and continues to influence the development of its skincare technologies.

Alongside skincare, Sensai also offers carefully designed make-up products that complement the brand’s vision of flawless skin. Some of the time-tested favourites such as Sensai Bronzing Gel SPF 6, Sensai Flawless Satin Moisture Foundation and Sensai Translucent Loose Powder help enhance natural radiance and support skin comfort.
