These products promise an easy and effective brushing, much more thorough plaque removal, and some of them even intuitive use. The latest models also feature a clever brushing technique with varying intensities and interesting design.
We’ve tested toothbrushes designed for people who have gum problems or sensitive teeth. So what are their benefits? The subtle vibrations of a sonic toothbrush are very gentle on your teeth and gums – plus you can select a lower brushing intensity.
Curaprox – Black is White – sonic electric toothbrush with whitening effect
- 3 brushing modes – start, clean, smile
- Bristles with activated charcoal – remove staining from teeth
- The packaging contains: 2 brush heads, USB charger, travel case
What did I like the most? You’ll instantly notice the minimalist black packaging and the clever design of the toothbrush itself. The entire body including the brush head is slim, with the brush head being also unusually small. When you turn the device on, the indicator of battery charge and brushing mode will light up with a beautiful magenta colour which makes this toothbrush even more stylish.
Benefits: The size of the brush head and the slim neck of the toothbrush allow you to get into every nook and cranny with natural ease. The toothbrush also promises that the activated charcoal particles int he bristles will restore the natural whiteness of your teeth – but obviously I did not expect my teeth to be actually whitened. My teeth don’t even have a naturally white colour, so I wasn’t asking for any miracles. However I also did not expect a visible removal of subtle stains from coffee, cigarettes and red wine, which is exactly what happened. All in all I love this toothbrush – it looks great and does what it promises.
Downsides: At first I felt a bit suspicious about the size of the brush head and the fact that this device only has three brushing modes. Luckily I was proven wrong the moment I used it.
