Un Jardin à Cythère eau de toilette, created by Hermès’ perfumer Christine Nagel, is a garden that is neither green nor floral, but... blond. It is the expression of an olfactory quest through the Peloponnese to Kythira, a picturesque Greek island loved by artists.
OLFACTORY NOTES
A citrus and woody composition, Un Jardin à Cythère eau de toilette combines the strength of olive wood with the tenderness of fresh pistachio, enveloped in grasses.
THE OBJECT
The bottle designed by Fred Rawyler is inspired by the silhouette of the horse-drawn carriage lanterns of yesteryear. The luminous yellow glass echoes the sunny fragrance. On the box, golden grasses, green olive trees, fresh pink pistachios and the blue sea sketch a colorful landscape by artist Elias Kafouros.
