Gentlemen, who has never borrowed a facial mask from your partner to try out just for fun? And who among you actually enjoyed it auite a bit (and couldn't stop touching that pleasantly soft and smooth skin after washing it)? Aha! So come and get into skin care, because it's really not just a girl thing. You will enjoy it, I promise!

We girls have one advantage. There are tons of articles on how to know your skin type and what products will become your BFF. And men can feel a bit like the Kens in Barbieland in this regard. Let's fix that. Find out what your skin type is and what you must have in your bathroom!

Dry skin

As soon as you wash your face with water in the morning, you feel tension and you want to apply cream right away. The skin is rough to the touch, and in winter even scales appear here and there. And if you don't drink enough water during the day, your skin will quickly remind you. Welcome to being an owner of dry skin. Your task is clear – to replenish the supply of hydration and lipids. Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, ceramides or maybe shea butter are your soulmates.

And what can your skin routine look like? Don't forget about thorough but gentle cleansing and choose moisturising (even oil-based) skin cleansing products for men as the first step . Then reach for a toner, such asClinique For Men™ Exfoliating Tonic, and follow up with a moisturiser or gel.

Don't forget the eyes either – or make your work easier with the Vichy Homme Hydra-Mag C 2 in 1 cream, which can take care of the skin and the eye area at the same time. The extra portion of freshness will be appreciated by the skin after shaving - try theShiseido Men Hydrating Lotion soothing water. And once in a while also add a mask, for example the nourishing L'Oréal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energetic.

That’s what dry skin needs

Oily Skin

Your face is constantly shiny as soon as you get on the phone, an oily layer remains on glass, and you've got used to enlarged pores and pimples appearing here and there. This is exactly what oily skin looks like, which, unsurprisingly, is caused by increased sebum production.

For its regulation, it is even more true that cleaning is the basis of success. Use the Biotherm Homme T-Pur Anti-oil & Shine Cleansing Gel and follow with the Clinique For Men™ Oil Control Exfoliating Tonic with Salicylic Acid. That oily skin no longer needs hydration? That is a common mistake. It needs it; just reach for light creams or gels that also mattify the skin, such as Beviro Lightweight Face Moisturizer. And if you want to make your routine more pleasant with a mask here and there, choose ones with a clay or charcoal content. They get rid of excess oil and other impurities. Our favourite? L’Oréal Paris Men Expert Pure Charcoal.

Don't give excess oil a chance

Sensitive skin

If you have sensitive skin, you probably already know about it. Redness, itching or burning is nothing new to you, and neither are skin reactions to weather changes, stress or even spicy food.

How can you take care of sensitive skin? Gently. Pay attention to the composition of the products, because as soon as there is an irritating component in one of them (alcohol, perfume or salicylic acid is enough), your skin will quickly show signs of disapproval. Take a gentle approach to cleaning and try to include a soothing toner in your routine. Our tip is Shiseido Men Hydrating Lotion. Support relaxation with a day and night cream, for example one with aloe vera (you can find it, for example, in the Revolution Man Hydrating cream). Shaving can be a critical moment for sensitive skin, but the Vichy Homme Sensi-Baume balm knows what to do.

Soothe your sensitive skin

Acne-prone skin

If you get a pimple here and there on your forehead, don't worry, you probably don't have acne-prone skin. But if blackheads and whiteheads or even reddened inflammations are permanent guests of your skin, that's another matter. Sometimes excessive sebum production is to blame, but acne-prone skin can be dry at the same time, so adjust the care of your skin accordingly.

What should definitely not be underestimated when it comes to skin with acne? Cleansing. For example, Clinique For Men™ Face Wash  will suit dry skin, while L'Oréal Paris Men Expert Pure Carbon gel with active carbon will suit oily skin. Or bet on technology and get a real master of deep cleaning – the FOREO Luna™ 3 for Men device. And if you add the Biotherm Homme Basics Line cleansing peel once in a while, you will give the pimples a clear signal that they should take a break.

Anti-Ageing Care

When your first fine lines and wrinkles start to appear, it's high time to look for products with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, retinolor other anti-ageing ingredients. Because wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin do not escape even gentlemen. You definitely want nicknames such as "rejuvenating" or "firming" for skin care products (but don't forget the basic skin type!).

In addition to regular day and night creams, support tired and sagging skin with a serum – you'll score with the Beviro Forever Young Elixir fluid, for example. You can also try a treatment with CBD Canneff Green Fermented CBDenzyme Cream. And since the first wrinkles most often appear around the eyes, add an eye cream or mask against wrinkles and dark circles,Gabriella Salvete Eye Mask Hyaluron.
