If you’re an avid reader of the Notino blog, you've probably heard about double cleansing, slugging or the "glass skin" trend. What do they have in common? They originated in Korea. Just like multi-step skincare routines or the obsession with sun protection. And since Korean women enjoy such great skin, it’s not a bad idea to take a leaf out of their book.

Even us in the editorial office have fallen in love with Korean skincare routines, from makeup removal to SPF. With systematic and regular use of Korean cosmetics, you skin will be luscious and radiant like never before. We wouldn’t have believed it either, had we not tried it on our own skin! How to do it?

Cleanse

The basis all proper skincare is a thoroughly cleansed face. You need to get rid of make-up, SPF cream and environmental impurities that have settled on your skin. It is best to use a makeup removal balm, such as Banila CO. Clean It Zero Original, which dissolves foundation in seconds.

And cleanse again

Now your face is free of foundation, but you need to cleanse the skin itself once more. For this, something in a gel form works well. For example, the Cosrx Good Morning cleansing gel is a great option. You can already tell by the name that you can use it not only for a second cleaning in the evening, but also in the morning.

Exfoliate

If you’re after truly perfect skin, you need an exfoliating tonic. For example, the Some By Mi AHA∙BHA∙PHA 30 Days Miracle tonic combines AHA, BHA and PHA acids and highly active ingredients, such as niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to banish dead skin cells, deeply cleanse and hydrate your pores. Who wouldn’t want that?

Toner

You may already have one toner in your routine, but why skimp? After the exfoliating one, include the moisturizing one, which soothes, hydrates and tightens the skin nicely. Why not try the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner? You’ll absolutely love it! And don’t forget to use it in the morning too.

More Korean treasures

Essences are the cornerstone

Neither a toner or a serum, an essence is a true Korean invention. This thick liquid allows you to give your skin that extra dose of love that it badly needs. Be it a moisturising, exfoliating or soothing essence, it will definitely come in handy. Or maybe all three? Which essence is currently all over TikTok? Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin. So if you want to look like you're back from holiday with a flawless complexion, definitely give it a try.

Serum? Serum!

As if that wasn’t enough, skin “saturated” in toners and essences also needs a serum. Choose the one that your skin really needs. Moisturising or brightening, they always come in useful. If you struggle with inflamed skin and acne, maybe try a viral sensation,  Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum Propolis + Niacinamide serum. The combination of propolis and niacinamide ensures that skin will be radiant and pores almost invisible.

Don’t forget the cream

The cream will nicely cover all the good stuff you’ve layered on so far so that they can work extra hard. And if it moisturises and also contains ceramides, like for example Holika Holika Good Cera, it will not simply nourish skin perfectly, but also strengthen its protective barrier. And it’s always best to go for the most powerful option.

Make SPF your BFF

Using a high SPF cream every day is the best thing you can do for your skin. We know we say it all the time. But here’s a small reminder anyway. Fortunately, Koreans are experts in SPF creams. So don't expect thick pastes, but rather light creams that provide high protection and you won't even know it. The whole editorial office loves the Beauty Of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF cream for its brilliant consistency and gorgeous smell.

So there you have it. A comprehensive Korean skincare routine that will make you love taking care of yourself. And check out the video on how to do it!
